Prentice Salter

From project management to performance improvement and expansion strategies, Prentice Salter brings decades of experience in gaming, hospitality and entertainment projects.

He organized and led a team of experts in Virginia which successfully lobbied legislators to change laws around horse racing and wagering, which led to the purchase of a long-abandoned thoroughbred racetrack and the introduction of numerous historical horse racing facilities across the state.

In 2022, he led the legislative and regulatory efforts necessary in Kentucky to earn the last horse racing license available there, opening the first gaming facility in Eastern Kentucky in October 2023. He has also recently managed gaming and legislative initiatives in Oregon, Arizona and North Dakota.

Prentice has overseen turnaround efforts and launches in the gaming, hospitality and entertainment industries in the U.S., Asia and Central America, focusing on operations and regulatory challenges in order to improve revenues.

Previously, he led the development of a country-wide OTB network in the Dominican Republic and served as a senior executive with Las Vegas Sands Corp., a NYSE-listed company, where he managed the planning, development and construction of the Sands Macao entertainment complex. He has also held leadership roles with the Levy Restaurant Group in Chicago and the Nine Group in Las Vegas.
